Aviation Pilot Training

One Of The Best Days Of My Life

Passing My Private Pilot Checkride

Like everyone, I’ve had many good days in my life. In fact, I’m generally a positive person and try to have a good day everyday. However, this day was a little different. You see, I set out in the fall of 2022 with determination to obtain a private pilot license. So, on October 2, 2022, I began my first lesson. There’s a large, reputable airport about 25 minutes from my home that has an awesome flight school. It’s a Part 61 school which allows me to progress on my own timeline and schedule. However, I was so excited that I schedule to fly three times a week. I began, and couldn’t stop. For the most part, I kept up with the three day a week schedule, every week, until now. On June 1, 2023, I officially became a Private Pilot. It’s probably one of, if not the biggest accomplishment of my life. I cannot think of anything else in my life that I have spent so much time, effort, money, determination, and passion in completing. It’ been nothing but exhilarating fun and excitement. I set out to become a pilot simply for recreation. I have no plans right now to go to the airlines, charter, or corporate flying careers. I just enjoy the thought of being able to fly anywhere and at anytime. It opens opportunities to do things I wouldn’t normally do with just driving. The feeling I had when I passed my final check ride was like no other. So much joy, happiness, and feelings of accomplishment. I am beyond excited to see the adventures that I will embark on in the future with my family and friends. I plan to document these adventures with either videos or pictures and will share as much as I can online. See you in the skies!
